World Children's Day
Children are the future, brimming with potential, curiosity, and dreams waiting to be fulfilled. Ensuring their well-being and protection is a fundamental necessity for a thriving society. World Children's Day celebrates that mission and coincides with the United Nations General Assembly's adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1959.
Children deserve protection, nourishment, and a place to play. The Gathering Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, hosts a combination of lush green spaces with inventive playgrounds and scenic trails that is a wonderland for kids with a healthy appetite for fun. If you wish to celebrate this day with your children here in Canada, then you can visit parks like Canada's Wonderland in Ontario, Fort Edmonton Park, a living history museum where children can learn about the history of fur trade, or Stanley Park in Vancouver, where children can indulge in fun-filled activities. You can also plan a trip to one of the many museums, like the Ontario Science Centre, the Canadian Museum of History, or the Montreal Science Centre. No matter how you choose to celebrate this day, we must remember that by working together, we can create a better future for all children.
